Jet 9
While I was working at Niner I worked on all of the bike frame projects as part of a two person engineering team that were released during my 7 years there. The Jet 9 is one that is special to me because it was the first full suspension frame that I did completely on my own. The goal of the project was to make an aluminum version of the latest carbon Jet 9 frame that was less expensive.
It was a challenging project because it needed to maintain many of the stylistic features of the carbon frame, that can be very difficult with aluminum while maintaining a reasonable finished weight. I utilized many forged parts for the bottom bracket area and the pivots to achieve that goal.
